There’s more to Jaipur than just palaces. To get an idea of Jaipur’s vibrant local life, one has to visit Johari and Bapu Bazaar for traditionally colored textiles and skillful crafts in them; as street food, pyaaz kachori and dal baati churma are a must; Teej or the Jaipur Literature Festival-attending is a must, too. The trip could be more enjoyable with a cycle rickshaw ride through the Old City, in addition to taking part in workshops on block printing or blue pottery.
